James Carmichael |
 |
James graduated from the University of Queensland in St Lucia with a keen interest in mixed veterinary practice. He spent a few years in mixed practice in Beaudesert attending to everything from cows and horses to budgies and guinea pigs. He moved back to small animal practice on Brisbane’s southside where he still visited a few horses. As a veterinarian at the Albert Animal Hospital, James only sees small animals these days but enjoys the variety of species he is able to treat. His interests outside of work include fishing, camping and sailing. His great dane cross, Jess, and Labrador cross, Ruby, enjoy regular runs at the local dog release park when their dad is not at work. |

Jason Schulz |
Jason was born and raised a Brisbane local. He attended vet school at the University of Queensland in Brisbane before entering small animal practice in a busy Sydney hospital. Jason worked for number of years in Sydney before returning to the wonderful climate of Brisbane. Jason joined the Albert Animal Hospital only recently but is a well recognized face of veterinary practice on the southside. Jason’s pets include two much loved cats Bob and Lucy. |

Kylie recently returned to the local area to focus on small animal medicine at the Albert Animal Hospital. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, including feline medicine and dentistry. Kylie has three cats: Dahla, Tishkah and Ricky, and a kelpie cross named Billy. |

Lisa Mason |
Dr Lisa Mason is another member of staff to graduate from the University of Queensland in
St Lucia. Lisa has grown up around veterinary science, even spending many of her high school years as a part time vet nurse. She works part time at the Albert Animal Hospital where she is involved with everything from puppy vaccinations to working up skin cases and conducting soft tissue surgery. When taking a break from veterinary science Lisa enjoys rock climbing and spending time renovating with her partner. |

Vic Burren |
 |
Dr Vic Burren graduated from the University of Queensland in St Lucia. Vic has been a long established member of the staff at the Albert Animal Hospital. He shares his time between work at the Albert and work on his property just south of the Gold Coast. Vic has a keen interest in the advances in modern veterinary medicine but is also a strong advocate of good preventative health for our much loved pets. When Vic is not flat out working, or spending his time with family, one is most likely to find Vic in his rose garden.
